Baby Naming Ceremonies

Do you want to celebrate the arrival of your “bundle of joy” and feel that a traditional christening is not for you, then you might consider a Naming Ceremony to formally welcome your child into the world.

Welcoming a baby into your life is the most overwhelming, amazing, terrifying, daunting but overall, the most joyous experience a person will ever have and needs to be celebrated with family and friends. As your Celebrant I will handcraft your ceremony into a unique, joyful, and deeply meaningful celebration with you and your little one at the heart of it.

- I will arrange a no obligation visit to you at home or at a mutually agreed meeting place to discuss my services, and all the necessary arrangements with you, other family members and/or friends. I can also arrange to do this by telephone, Zoom, Facetime, Skype or Video Messenger if any one of these options suits better. Arrangements tend to range between 1 and 2 hours.
- At the meeting, we will talk about your “Bundle of Joy” and discuss any thoughts or ideas you may have for what you would like to happen during the ceremony. We will discuss options for venue, music, readings and or poems and whether anyone from your family or friends would like to participate on the day or make commitment vows to your child. Together we will start to create your perfect ceremony.
- Once you have agreed for me to conduct your ceremony and following on from our initial meeting, I will start to create a bespoke ceremony tailored around your child and vision. The ceremony takes shape with exchanges of drafts that are fine-tuned as we go along, to ensure the ceremony reflects your wishes. I will send you a draft written ceremony incorporating those ideas for you to review, and then send me any revisions. I will then send you a second draft, containing those revisions. The final stage of the process is when I receive an email from you containing your “Approved Ceremony”. That way you and I will know that on your special day/evening you will be hearing the words you want to hear at the ceremony you want to have.
